C.S. Lewis said, “You can’t get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.” My sentiments, exactly! I’m always a little sad to come to the end of either one because books are my friends.

I don’t waste time reading books I don’t enjoy, so I allow two chapters for a book to prove itself a “good read.” If I’m not drawn in by the end of the second chapter, I don’t bother reading the rest of the book. I’d recommend any book here on my list. If I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t have read it.
A couple of years ago I decided I’d like to keep a list of books I’ve read, but I’d start a list, then end up forgetting where I put it or I’d just forget to update it. It’ll be easier to keep up with here on my blog, so this post will serve as my running list of books already read in 2009. (Hee, hee–”already read” sounds funny, but I’m leaving it that way on purpose, because I’m a goofball.)
I’m always looking for more good reads, so I’d love some suggestions!
