This is a sneak-peek of our upcoming homeschool year.
If you can’t find me, I am most likely buried under an avalanche of these books!
The girls are both away this week, soooo… I’ve been planning our school year.
Yes, this really is my stack of homeschool books!
I’ve only ventured out for tea, and an occasional “tweet” or blog-reading break.
Soon, I’ll post all about my plan… which reminds me: Kris is having a themed Weekly Wrap-Up: The 2010-2011 Curriculum edition NEXT Friday, June 23rd. We’d love to see you there!

Wow … that is a big stack of books!! I always joke with my husband that soon we will need to build an addition on our home to house all of our homeschool books.

LOVE the book tower!
I walked through the newly-stocked school supplies section at Target this weekend, and got all giddy.
We are “officially” starting our homeschool journey this year (Kindergarten!!), and I can’t wait to have my own book tower! Our convention is coming up next weekend, so I’ve held off buying some of my curriculum, in hopes that they may have some better deals there…
Hope you don’t get lost under an avalanche of books!!

I really do think that pile of books needs scaffolding to be safe… Hope you’re enjoying being ‘Home Alone’.
Wow, lots of work but I know you know it is definitely worth it! Hope the planning is going well.

Thanks for the plug!
I’ve been planning this week, too, though my stack of books isn’t nearly that high. Well, actually, I bet it is; I just haven’t pulled them all out and stacked them up. I’m really starting to get excited about this school year, which is exciting in and of itself, considering the level of burnout I was suffering from at the end of the last school year.

I’m having a terrible time getting motivated this year. My first project is to clean out the “school room” – the room where everything is kept, not where any actual work is done! My hubbie said I can order books in a few weeks, although I just need to order Rosie Girl’s Sonlight Core 200. I have almost everything else. It’s a little discouraging to have burnout this far before the school year starts!! Ah well, I’d still rather have them at home, even if I’m disorganized and headache-y! Good luck with your organizing – and have fun!!

How exciting! Okay, I’m a bit of a book-nerd. I hope to homeschool someday.

Now that is a visual!! Happy planning and readying! Can’t wait to hear.
Hi Jaime,
I’ve been doing some planning lately myself. Glad I’m not the only one. I can totally relate to your tea (coffee for me) or blog reading break. I am debating on planning out a full year or just fall lessons to see how well my kids do. Probably full year and make the necessary adjustments needed.

I look forward to reading your post about your plan. Off to read Kris’s weekly wrap up

I love your books! I’ve been planning and setting up lesson plans this past weekend. I’m setting up for 4 high schoolers – 2 juniors, 1 sophomore, and 1 freshman. Enjoy the peace and quiet of your “alone” time!
