I am so sad I haven’t been able to make it to one of the Great Homeschool Convention events this year! Things just kept coming up to conflict with those weekends. The instagram feeds from attendee-friends were torture; Colleen even got a photo with Ben Carson, and with Matt Walsh!
The final GHC event this year is in California, and has so much to offer:
Ginormous curriculum hall
{Yes, ginormous is a word in my book!} This GHC event will offer the largest homeschool curriculum exhibit hall in California, with oh-so-many great homeschool companies. It’s so neat to get to talk to vendors in person and touch and feel the products you’ve probably already stalked online.
Wonderful speakers
So many great speakers will be there, including Matt Walsh and Ben Carson, who I’d love to hear. And Heidi St. John, who spoke at The 2:1 Conference; I so enjoyed her talk!
Sessions and workshops galore
Friends have told me about some of the great workshops they attended at these homeschool events. It’s never possible to hit all the sessions but if you’re at the Convention, you can purchase CDs of any you can’t attend.
Programs for the whole family
Awesome Teen Track program and even a Children’s Conference! Note: the kids’ events often sell out so make arrangements for that ASAP if interested.
When I saw this booklist at Preschoolers and Peace, I thought it would make for great reads for before/during/after your trip to learn more about the state of California! GHC has arranged for some great deals on hotels, and you can even take the whole family to Comedy Night!
If, like me, you can’t attend the California event, there is hope for us next year; dates and locations for 2015 have been announced!
Note: this is a sponsored post. I’m happy to partner with GHC in order to help share about their events for homeschool families.
