Mama’s Tea Time Giveaway

11 April, 2014; Filed Under: fit & healthy

Every Mama needs frequent mini-breaks to replenish her batteries. For me, that comes in the form of tea time, first thing in the morning and throughout the day. I almost always have a steaming mug of tea within arm’s length, and one of my favorite sanity breaks is walking around the yard a few minutes, watching birds, checking on my plants and things, while cradling my tea cup. Aaaahhh…

So today, I’m giving away a few of my favorite things for a tea time break.

Tea Time Giveaway

1 – tea mug

Tea cups are pretty and dainty, but they just don’t hold enough tea to suit me. So I usually use a mug instead. This tea cup is the perfect combination: it has the character of a tea cup but the capacity of a mug. Win-win!

2 – pomegranate tea scented candle

Y’all. I have a serious thing for mercury glass. This little candle is so delightfully sparkly in a vintage way. I adore it. And to top it off, the candle smells heavenly. That’s saying something for me because I am PICKY when it comes to scents. This might be the hardest thing for me to let go of in this package, but I’m doing it because I adore you!

3 – journal

A pretty little journal. A gilded Jane Austen quote gives it just the right balance of simple with a touch of fancy.

4 – chocolate mint black tea

Oh my gracious. This tea is like dessert in your cup. I only add a splash of cream and it’s divine. If you prefer your tea sweeter, a few drops of honey would be perfect. I am a tea snob, and therefore usually only use loose tea, but Harney is good stuff in nice big tea sachets (way better than tea bags) to let the tea leaves move around while steeping. You should be able to get at least two infusions out of each sachet. For the tea novice, that means you can use the same bag twice before you throw it away. {Buy it online.}

5 – With a Cup of Tea

Sandy Lyn Clough is an artist who draws such welcoming scenes I want to crawl right in to share a cup of tea with her. This little book contains pages of her art, plus little sayings and such related to tea.

6 – One Thousand Gifts

I’m not exaggerating to say this book by Ann Voskamp has impacted my life; I put off reading it for way too long, but it’s wonderful! No, I’m not giving mine away; this is a brand new copy. {If you don’t win, give One Thousand Gifts to yourself!}

Love it! Sounds a lot like me in the morning. I like being up before my kids, making some tea, watching the birds, and when the weather is nice sipping it out by the pond while reading something inspirational. Great tea collection.

As a homeschooling Mama of 2 boys, I too frequently take “tea breaks!” I’m looking forward to spring in Western NY to come so I can plant my garden and take it outside when I need a break!

It has been a very, very long time since I’ve had a decent cup of tea. Or won a giveaway. Or entered one. Maybe beginner’s luck will be my friend, since it’s been so long. 🙂
