If you’ve been reading my blog for long, you know my life sort of imploded about six years ago (my dad died, we adopted two more kids from foster care, plus other things I didn’t share online). As I struggled to cope with all of that, I began a journey towards strength in body, mind, and soul. Because this made such a change in my own life, I wanted to help others do the same. So now I’m a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and I absolutely love it.
As a homeschooling/working mom (with grandkids, too!), I get how difficult it can be to make fitness work with real life. But I also get how essential it is. Regular exercise helps me manage stress, makes me a nicer wife and mom, keeps me strong for things like picking up grandchildren, and helps ensure I’ll be able to keep doing things like getting my kayak on/off the car.
This is why I started offering online personal fitness training last fall: so I can help more folks get fit and stay fit — for life.
Coaching for clients anywhere:
I hold certifications as a personal fitness trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and as a nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. I’m licensed as a SilverSneakers group fitness instructor for active seniors, and I have a specialization in women’s fitness as a certified Pre- and Post-Natal Fitness Coach. Perhaps most importantly, I’ve worked with clients with a wide range of ages, body types, and experience levels in both group fitness classes and individual training sessions.
Fitness training plans that work for you.
The training plans I create incorporate core work, flexibility and balance, cardio, and strength training — all of which are essential for daily living and injury prevention, no matter your age or current fitness level. Your customized workouts are available anytime via computer, iPad, or smart phone. Every exercise includes a video demo to help you train safely and effectively, even if you’re a beginner.
Online training allows me to work with clients anywhere, on their own schedule. Need to workout first thing in the morning before the kids wake up? While the baby naps? After work? It doesn’t matter if my schedule coincides; you can do your workouts whenever it works for you.
I’ll be available for questions via email or messaging, and I’ll offer encouragement and regular check-ins along the way.
I don’t provide meal plans; instead, I’ll help you establish sensible, sustainable healthy eating habits — without food rules and calorie counting.
No long-term commitment.
It takes time to implement lifestyle changes so I urge you to look at health and fitness with a long-term approach. However, I do not require a contract: if at any point you feel like online coaching isn’t a good fit for you, you can cancel with no hard feelings and no additional payments.
If you read this far, you’ll want pricing info.
I hate jumping through hoops to find out pricing, so I’m skipping all the recommended marketing stuff, keeping it simple, and telling you here. I’ve worked hard to keep the price of monthly training affordable at a rate of $90/month with no sign-up fees or hidden costs. This may go up in the future, but you’ll be grandfathered in at whatever rate you start. **For comparison purposes, the national average (in the U.S.) for personal training is $60 per session.
Due to the personalized nature of my coaching, I limit the number of clients I work with. Clicking the link above will add you to my list so you’ll get first priority on becoming one of my online clients. You can always opt out later, no strings attached. I’m polishing up a few final things right now, but when training re-opens this month, you’ll be first to know so you can get started toward making 2019 your year to get fit.
