Don’t you just love Pinterest?
I do! Actually, it’s a bit of a love-hate relationship because I adore all the great ideas I get there — but I rarely actually do any of them. At this particular moment, I have over 4,000 pins. Granted, quite a few of them are just cute short hairdos (I’m kinda obsessed, y’all!), but there are still hundreds of crafty kinds of projects I’ve been meaning to do.
One of these days.
Join us in a fun new Pinterest challenge!
With this not-uncommon problem before us, a few of the iHN gals have teamed up to host a monthly Pinterest challenge. We’ll pick one (or more) of the gazillion great things we’ve pinned — be it a recipe, a craft project, a decorating idea, a new way to organize something, etc., etc. — and we’ll blog about how it went. We want you to do the same! Sometimes, it’s going to turn out so fantastic you’ll want to cartwheel in the living room. And other times, you’ll have a total flop. But that’s okay; don’t be afraid to share your failures because it makes us all feel better.
In the interest of full disclosure, this project was totally Kathryn’s. I’ve been reorganizing the school room and didn’t have as much time as I’d like for the projects I wanted to do. Kathryn is the Princess of Duct Tape and has a basket full of duct tape just waiting for something creative. This project was making roses.
She made a bouquet of roses to go in a small wooden vase my dad gave her some time ago. They now grace her writing desk in her new bedroom. She calls this project a success.
With the success of this project, she also wanted to make this duct tape clutch purse, but just started it this week and hasn’t had time to finish it. I’ll update on it in the next Flips and Flops post.
I haven’t decided what Pinterest project I’ll do next. Maybe a project Kathryn and I could do together, like this wreath. Or I might make a superhero mask for the boy. Or maybe I’ll even tackle the task of recovering our hot pink desk chair!
It’s your turn!
Now it is your turn, to show off or make fun of yourself…or both! This month, visit the landing page to view other Flips and Flops and link up your own on the 2nd Monday of every month.
