That looks so good! I like toasting pound cake in the morning and having it with coffee. Something about the crunchy (that and I put a little butter on it to melt like making buttered toast.) You made me hungry for pound cake!

I made this cake for Thanksgiving. It was a hit! I’m making another one for my mom’s bday.

Awesome! I took it to our Sunday school class Christmas party and it cracked me up when one of my friends (who apparently reads my blog) said, “You’re right; this cake is blog-worthy!”

Weird question. I know traditionally, you’re supposed to use a bundt cake pan for a pound cake, but is it completely necessary? I ask because I don’t have a regular oven, and a regular sized bundt pan wouldn’t fit in my Ninja 3-1.What would be a good substitute for it?

Hmm… might take a little experimentation. Might have to do it in more than one pan, like a layer cake?

Have you ever tried this in a loaf pan? If so, what are the baking instructions?

GM, I have been putting off making this cake since Thanksgiving! I got up early this morning and made this cake. I love the fact that it is very simple. It’s in the oven as we speak I hope it taste as good as it looks.

Do you use plain or surprising flour ?

  14. Jamie Avatar

It’s specifically labeled “cake flour” at the store. Hope that helps!

Do you use salted or unsalted butter?
I am very eager to try this recipe out!

Whatever I have on hand. 🙂 Usually that’s unsalted but I’ve made it with salted as well.
