Raising Homemakers

Despite how much I adore cute little aprons and cookie-baking, that’s not what being a “homemaker” is all about.

I’d be delighted if you’d pop over to read my article today at Raising Homemakers, based on my thoughts about being a homemaker and raising them:

The Privilege of Raising Homemakers.”

I commented over on Raising Homemakers too, but I thought I’d stop by here too! Just wanted to let you know I appreciated your thoughts about being intentional, and joyful in training our daughters, and simply inviting them to live life alongside us. I couldn’t agree more! 🙂

Hi Jamie! Your article made it all the way through to our little homeschool coop in Oklahoma. This article truly inspired me to think more diligently about my role as a Titus 2 woman. As much as I would like to continue to believe that I am the younger woman in that scripture, it occurs to me that I am really now becoming the older woman. Since I homeschool, and am a nature homebody, I don’t have many opportunities to be an Titus 2 older woman to many. But, I do have two daughters at home, and you have given me much food for thought today. Great article!

“I believe “making a home” means creating a safe and welcoming place to learn and grow in faith and in relationships” — Love that!
