savvy | [sav-ee]
adjective ( -vier, -viest)
shrewd and knowledgeable in the realities of life.
According to that definition, I’m not so sure I even want to be savvy. In fact, I’ve had a little TOO much going on in “the realities of life” lately. But I’m totally okay with becoming more savvy in the world of blogging, so…
I’m going to my first EVER blog conference next month!
I don’t have a clue what I’m doing. I’ve signed up for sessions, and I know I’ll learn helpful blog-related stuff. If I figure where I’m suppose to be, that is. It’s a lot more likely that I’ll be the lost-looking gal wandering around with a travel mug of tea in hand. This whole thing is entirely out of my comfort zone. I’ve been to photography conferences, but Ken is always with me. Throwing this introvert into a bunch of strangers I’m expected to talk to is a bit unnerving. {I can speak to a crowd, or do a radio/TV interviews, but small talk is hard!}
However… I already know I’ll have friends there. Blogland friends! I have an awesome roomie, who I’ve met a few times in real life. That’s fun. Like a grown-up sleepover party! Yay!
I’m super-excited about meeting several other blogland friends and getting to finally hug their necks instead of typing all of our interactions.
If you’re going to SavvyBlogging Summit, please leave a comment telling me so because I’ll want to be sure to look for you there! (And if you see me looking lost, just make sure I still have tea, and everything will be okay.)

Wife, mom, grandma. Introvert who finds joy in good books, sunshine, and authentic conversation. Fitness enthusiast and personal trainer. Often seen with a steaming mug of tea in hand.
So much to look forward to and learn! (We can lock arms as lost and clueless introverts 🙂
Looking forward to meeting you! I’m so excited about SavvyBlogging and am looking forward to learning lots!
I’m going to BEECH Retreat in January and I’m very much looking forward to it. I’m a bit like you, these things overwhelm me a bit and I’m not the best traveler – especially without my husband!, but I’m really looking forward to the event. It’s good for me to step out of my comfort zone now and again! Have an awesome time!!
