Week-end: links & life {vol. 41}

gym selfie friends

When you wear a #gymselfie shirt, you have to take a selfie. And it’s more fun with friends. These ladies are part of the small group I help train; I adore them. And they make sixty-something look awesome.

homeschool collage

The highlight of this week, of course, was Carter’s arrival. I’m a grandmother now, y’all! So that trumped schoolwork for Monday. Tuesday brought our regular homeschool enrichment classes, and while Kathryn had her afternoon classes, I took the little kids to the playground because it was a gorgeous day and finally not 400 degrees outside. {Slight exaggeration.}

The rest of the week went mostly as planned, though we didn’t try to add in any more subjects this week. Still just reading and math for Jem; mostly math and science for Scout; and math, science, and English for Kathryn. Next week, when we aren’t celebrating a new grandbaby + Ken’s birthday + getting ready for a yard sale, we’ll try to add in a little more. No hurry, though; we’ll get there. I’d rather keep going slow and steady than jump in and end up making us all grumpy.

Enjoy the weekend, friends!
