Week-end: links & life {vol. 41}
“Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” – Mark Twain
When you wear a #gymselfie shirt, you have to take a selfie. And it’s more fun with friends. These ladies are part of the small group I help train; I adore them. And they make sixty-something look awesome.

The highlight of this week, of course, was Carter’s arrival. I’m a grandmother now, y’all! So that trumped schoolwork for Monday. Tuesday brought our regular homeschool enrichment classes, and while Kathryn had her afternoon classes, I took the little kids to the playground because it was a gorgeous day and finally not 400 degrees outside. {Slight exaggeration.}
The rest of the week went mostly as planned, though we didn’t try to add in any more subjects this week. Still just reading and math for Jem; mostly math and science for Scout; and math, science, and English for Kathryn. Next week, when we aren’t celebrating a new grandbaby + Ken’s birthday + getting ready for a yard sale, we’ll try to add in a little more. No hurry, though; we’ll get there. I’d rather keep going slow and steady than jump in and end up making us all grumpy.
Enjoy the weekend, friends!

Congrats on your grandbaby 🙂
Just dropping by from the Wrap-Up.
Thanks for coming by, Kerry!
You will love being a grandma. Congratulations!
Thank you!!!
Congratulations on the grand baby!
We’ve had our share of 400 degree days too. We have October set as our “head to the park as much as possible” month. I’m really looking forward to that.
Yes! The cool mornings lately are taunting me with a taste of fall!
Congratulations! And, yeah, we’re enjoying some great not-400-degree weather here, too. Finally.
Thanks, Kris!
It’s been stinkin’ hot this summer, hasn’t it?
Visiting form Weekly Wrap-up. Congrats on the Grandbaby!
