In 2005, I started a little blog called Rose Cottage, which I thought of as an online scrapbook as I began life as a homeschool mom.
A few years later, I created See Jamie blog, where I wrote for over a decade about homeschooling and adoption.
My kids are now mostly grown so I no longer write new content on either subject; however, you’ll find quite a lot in my archives on both topics. For homeschooling, start here. Regarding adoption, begin with the Cliff’s notes version of our adoption journey.
I’ve realized I miss writing a blog so I’ve decided to start fresh and launch a new site where I can share, among other things, DIY projects and furniture makeovers; the best of the books I’m reading; as well as the process of updating our 1960’s coastal cinderblock home, and trying to coax something besides sand spurs to grow in our yard.
If you’d like to check it out, come follow along at the sandy rose.

I’m a big fan of authentic conversation and always appreciate hearing what you have to say. Thanks for reading.
