Y’all! He’s here!
Diane and Brandon checked into the hospital for an induction Sunday evening, and after a rather uncomfortable night, Carter was born at 1:24PM on Monday afternoon. Diane did great and mom and baby are both healthy.
At 9 pounds 8 ounces and 21.5 inches long, Carter is a big boy — but that’s still smaller than his daddy was when he was born!
Ken and Kathryn and I got to see him for a little while on his birth day, but his littlest aunt and uncle will have to wait since they are too young to be allowed to visit at the hospital. Carter has a total of eight aunts and uncles, plus three grandmothers and three grandfathers. Sometimes blended families make for awkward moments, but we all already love him like crazy.
Today is Ken’s 46th birthday; he couldn’t have had a better birthday gift than a beautiful, healthy grandson, and I think he’s just plain giddy about it.

I’m a big fan of authentic conversation and always appreciate hearing what you have to say. Thanks for reading.

Congratulations to you all from Australia! So glad Carter has arrived safely. My experience is that multiple grandparents makes for multiple versions of love, care and engagement. Can there be too much loving? ๐ Enjoy him lots and lots. Tiffany
