Tea for Me: a Tradition

Last week was my actual birthday, but Lindsey was out of town on Choir Tour with our church, so we postponed my annual birthday tea ’til she was back. We all look forward to our celebrations at our favorite tea room!

I’m not really a big celebrator by nature, but I’ve found that I enjoy traditions — like celebrating my birthday every year at Tea Leaves & Thyme. This is the ninth consecutive year I’ve celebrated this way.

Tea and scones make every celebration better!

I’m blessed with such dear friends — friends who “love at all times.” (Proverbs 17:17) These are forever friends — those I’ll always be friends with, no matter where we live, no matter what stage of life we’re in. Maybe we won’t see each other often, but I know I’ll always be able to depend on them. I’ll always be able to call them up and chat like it’s only been days, even if it’s been months — or even years.

My experiences over the years have taught me to treasure friendships that are real and true.

A key part of my birthday tradition: a big-hat photo with my girls and my mom. Love it!

Oh how I LOVE high tea as well. Every detail! So excited for my first London high tea next week as I travel there for my brothers wedding. I will have a sip for you. With Joy, Carey
