Works for Me: Wedding Vows
Unfortunately, in day-to-day ordinariness, it is too easy to forget the words exchanged on our wedding day. So shortly after our wedding, I typed up and printed out the vows we wrote to each other, and framed them. They hang above an armoire in our bedroom, along with a photo from our wedding day, as well as my bouquet of silk tulips. It’s a constant reminder of the promises we made to each other.
It’s pretty great for accountability, too, especially knowing our daughters have read these words and are watching how we do marriage.

Excellent idea! I love it!
What a great idea, Jamie! How often as a kid did you read everything that was up on the walls of your home? Sacred marriage vows… that is a good one to add.

by the way, i found you @ (In)Courage Surprise Party linkup today. I can totally relate to this in your About Me: “Before my life as a mom, I had many jobs but never felt fulfilled in any of them. Motherhood is clearly my calling. Even when it’s hard, I love it, and I am so very blessed to have people on this earth who call me Mama.” I look forward to reading your blog more often 🙂 be blessed, Mama!
