“My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.” —Erma Bombeck
Is it weird to love vacuuming? Because with my new friend here, I’m thinking up stuff to vacuum. I’m just giddy to have another (refurbished) Dyson, and I’ve even read about an optional dog-grooming attachment; Piper could likely be bribed with enough treats, but Daisy might never forgive me if I try to vacuum her.

Nothing at all. Zilch. Zip. Nada. Usually, I try to schedule posts at least a week ahead (except for my Fridays) but honestly, I’ve had a hard time stringing more than two coherent thoughts together the past few weeks. But that’ll pass, so stay tuned, friends!
These posts from the archives are getting a lot of action lately, though; if you’re new here, you might’ve missed them the first time around:

I was less than productive online — but the homeschool planning I needed to do is pretty much done, and I’m getting closer to being ready for a serious yard sale {de-cluttering ALL THE THINGS} so I was productive offline. Plus, I even managed to read part of my library stash. And started playing with zentangles.
Public schools here started this week, but that still feels too soon to me. My plan is to be up and running by the end of August, but we’ll ease into our homeschool year beginning next week. Our enrichment classes begin then, and I want to work on our overall daily routine but I’m not going to concern myself yet with much in the way of actual schoolwork.

Ha! Great quote. Vacuuming isn’t one of my favourite things to do – much prefer doing the washing.
I don’t love doing the laundry but I do enjoy a nice stack of fresh-smelling clothes!
Wow! I thought it was early that our local school was starting on the 26th of August and still I thought “I’m not ready!” I could have lessons and books all prepared but mentally I’m just not ready to head back to school. I want to enjoy some more summer fun before we hit the books once again.
When I was in school around here, school always started around the same time yours start, right at the end of August. It’s gradually moved earlier and earlier in recent years, and I just can’t wrap my brain around school starting at the first of August!
I actually enjoy folding clean laundry. 🙂
I kind of do too!
